Recent Running Delegation for Sendai’s International Half Marathon!
Riverside recently sent a delegation to Sendai, Japan, that included two runners, Tiffany Cheek and Juan Torrez, and Paula McCroskey as their coach for Sendai’s International Half Marathon. Each year, Sendai invites and hosts two runners and a coach from their sister cities. Race day was warm and windy, but the runners had an excellent time. Pictured are Yoko Boucher, past Chairperson for the Riverside-Sendai Sister City Committee, Tiffany Cheek, Paula McCroskey, Juan Torrez, and Kenji Suzuki, President of the Orange Club. The Orange Club is Sendai’s equivalent to our Sendai-Riverside Sister City Committee, and Mr. Suzuki is always an exceptional host. Riverside thanks the city of Sendai for its hospitality.
