About Us
International Relations Council
The International Relations Council of Riverside comprises local citizens, administered by a Board of Directors and Committee Members. IRC Riverside works to bring world leaders and dignitaries to our community, provides business leaders an opportunity to share ideas and resources, and hosts forums for high school students to interact with and learn about the people from our Sister Cities. IRC Riverside also fosters student exchange programs and membership travel to and from our Sister Cities and beyond.
We are citizen diplomats working in partnership with the Mayor’s Office, the State Department, and our region’s universities, businesses, community organizations, and school districts (K-12) to enhance the global perspective of Riverside and strengthen relationships abroad.
Connecting our Community
As one of the first sister city connections in the United States, we pride ourselves on reaching the community and connecting globally through “citizen diplomacy.”
Global Awareness
We are committed to offering outstanding international experiences that will benefit local and global community members alike. By building bridges through communication and collaboration, they can create lasting connections that will lead to a more inclusive future.
Active Dialogue
The International Relations Committee of Riverside is dedicated to active dialogue with other countries and organizations. We work to build bridges between nations, promote understanding and cooperation, and foster mutual respect.
Diverse Perspectives
The International Relations Committee of Riverside is committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity. As such, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels respected and valued, regardless of their background or beliefs.
