About Dale Kinnear
While serving as the principal at JW North High School, Dale Kinnear began his involvement with IRC more than 25 years ago. While the school hosted hundreds of students from Sendai, Japan, Dale became active with IRC. At the urging of then Mayor Ron Loveridge, Marylin Jacobsen and Dr. John Jang, Dale became active in with Jiangmen, China in in the year 2000. During these past 20 years, he’s visited Jiangmen seven times, hosted hundreds of visitors from China and led nearly 400 North students, parents and teachers to our Jiangmen sister-city. Dale is most proud that every visit included home-stay opportunities where students not only experienced similarities and differences in culture but they also learned about themselves. In addition to serving as a former President of IRC, Dale’s has held numerous leadership positions in the organization.
